Steam läuft und läuft und läuft .....

und hört gar nimmer auf. Was´n da los?

Vorher war irgendwie meine Tastaturbelegung futsch, hab dann Steam und CS deinstalliert und wieder installiert weil gar nix mehr ging und seiit dem hört Steam nimmer zum updaten auf .... oder was auch immer es tut!???

Ich kann schon lang wieder zocken .... aber Steam saugt immer noch!

Weiss einer was des ist?

nö, des läuft nicht .... rechts in der Taskleiste zeigt er auch an, daß Steam arbeitet, nur wenn ich in CS bin zeigt er an, als wenn Steam bereit wäre ....

Hmm, also Valve kann jederzeit auf einen Monatsbeitrag umsteigen !!
Wer also für freunde mit seiner Karte bezählt, trägt dann die Kosten ?!

Rückgabe bei nichtgefallen des Produktes (Rückgaberecht) ist auch nicht drinne!

Steuern usw. werden auch noch berechnet und abgezogen. Hab schon HL2 CD Angebote gesehen, die waren um einiges billiger! (34Euro) anstatt >41Euro + Steuern

Ich für meinen Teil komme zu dem Entschluß datt doch lieber im Laden zu kaufen. Nach Deutschen Produkthaftungsgesetz mit Rückgaberecht! Da kommen bestimmt noch einige Klagen auf Valve zu.

Wenn man auf die CD Version wartet, macht man mit Sicherheit keinen Fehler. Der Monatsbeitrag den Valve in diesem Auszug anspricht, gilt aber nur für "recurring monthly Subscriptions", also nicht für die einmalige Bezahlung des Produktes. Also muss Valve nach internationalem Recht eine neue "Online Mitgliedschaft" vom Kunden erhalten um abbuchen zu dürfen! Im Übrigen wäre es aus wirtschaftlicher Sicht fatal und dumm von Valve in naher Zukunft auf Monatsbeiträge zu setzen solange sich HL2 noch nicht etabliert hat. Sollte es jedoch irgendwann Monatsbeiträge geben, siehe auch XBOX Live oder Phantasy-Star-Online, werde ich sowie hunderttausende andere Kunden garantiert kein HL2 oder CS mehr zocken ...

die diskussion um monatliche beiträge geht ja schon, seit dem es steam gibt. wer natürlich mit Macht ein spiel kaputt machen will, der tut dieses. daran glaub ich aber erst, wenn ich es offiziell bei denen lese. sollten sie es dennoch tun, NACHTRÄGLICH nach bereits bezahlten und ausgelieferten spiel, glaub ich kriegen die klagen an den hals,dass es nur noch raucht und scheppert. bekanntlich laufen solche dinge in den usa ja auf hohem finaziellen niveau.
zur zeit bekommen die ja die einfachen sachen mit vivendi nicht mal geklärt.
gibs eigentlich ein beispiel, wo man ein spiel teuer gekauft hat, wo man dann für die nutzung monatlich gebühren zahlen musste und dann auch noch erfolgreich war? würd mich mal interessieren.

Die Diskusion über Steam und monatliche Beiträge find ich zwar auch wiedermal interessant , aaaaaber des hat jetzt wirklich nix mit meinem Problem zu tun, was Steam da die ganze Zeit "saugt". HL2 ist es auf jeden Fall nicht und sonst hab ich da auch keine Bestellung abgegeben. Augenscheinlich installiert er auch nichts da der Steam-Ordner nicht wächst.
Da stimmt doch was ned.....

Probiert es bitte auch mal .... einfach mal Steam starten ohne in ein Game zu gehen.

O.K. .... hat sich erledigt, 2 mal deinstall und anschliessendes install von Steam hat zwar nichts gebracht, hab aber soeben noch mal die ClientRegestry.blob vernichtet und nach erneueten update von Steam passt wieder alles. Jetzt läuft des Ding wieder richtig!

Zum Thema Steam & Money, .... schau ma mal was kommt, ich kann mich dem Lampe da auch nur anschliessen.

Edit: Man darf aber auch nicht vergessen, daß ja HL2 und CSS die ersten Spiele sind (von den Neuerscheinungen) die nun auch komplett über Steam zu erhalten sind (immer noch ein Testphase) und bei CSS mach ich mir noch keine Sorgen, daß es mal was kosten soll.
Bei künftigen Neuerscheinungen kann ich mir schon vorstellen , daß es was kosten wird.

Bsp. : Grundversion per Steam oder CD-Rom aus dem Laden z.B. 15,- oder 20,- €, Updates natürlich nur über Steam (über Abo) + mtl. Gebühr

Ich kenn des Game zwar ned, aber bei Anarchy-Online wirds doch so gemacht oder, .... gut die Nutzen kein Steam (hehe) aber die müssen doch auch zahlen oder?

ähm, so gut wie bei allen Online-Rollenspielen (MMORPGs) zahlt man das Spiel + monatliche Grundgebühr... noch dazu meist ein oder 2 Expansions im Jahr...

da gibts schon sehr viele Spiele, z.b. Star Wars Galaxies, Anarchy Online, Everquest, City of Heroes, Dark Age of Camelot, das uralte Ultima Online... kommen noch massig dazu (zum Beispiel Worlds of Warcraft)...
von den Spielern her gesehen sind diese Games wohl die Zukunft...

Also monatliche Gebühren wären nix neues. Der Unterschied is, dass bei solchen Spielen jede Woche 1 - 2 patches erscheinen (is natürlich viel komplexer als n Shooter und beinhaltet mehr bugs), die auch was bringen...im Gegensatz zu denen bei CS =P

Also möglich wärs, aber sicher nicht bei nem Game, dass schon erschienen ist... also denk nicht, dass man sowas befürchten müsst für HL2 oder CS:S...
